1.Day: IZMIR
Izmir, that Greek Smyrna was because of its situation
already in the antiquity one of the important cities West Asia
Minor. It was also the largest of the seven apocalypse
communities. The Kadifekale (velvet castle) on the Pagos-mountain,
from there we have a lovely panorama over the city.Kadifekale
and the old Agora are the only remnants out of these heydays.
Nevertheless the city was a bridge of civilisations. We see
the Watch tower lain in the center (the landmark by Izmir),
walk from there is the picturesque Bazaar- and market quarter
located. It is also recommended to walk at the bank promenade
of the city Izmir. |

2.Day: IZMIR - PAMUKKALE
Tthe old Caravan Road following we dive through the Valley
Gediz (valley of the Hermos), through cowardly plan day,
tobacco and tree fields into the upcountry. At the early
morning, we reach Sardes, the famous capital of the Lydia
Empire. Probably through St. Paul the Christianity found here
prematurely access. Detailed visits of the ruin site: the
Artemis Temple, Secondary School, the Byzantine drawers and a
Jewish Synagogue magnificently reconstructed by the Americans.
Then it goes further over Alasehir (Philadelphia) to Pamukkale,
the antique Hierapolis. Visits of the famous Calcified
Terraces (beautiful pictures !). In the hotel it will be
available to swim in a swimming pool filled with thermal water.

3.Day: HIERAPOLIS
St. Phillip died here in the year 80 as a martyr, it became
later a church. Long time was Hierapolis bishop seat and
metropolis. In the morning we will visit the archaeological
lain. In the afternoon visit to the Laodiceia and Colossae.
Laodiceia was through its intensive trade, especially through
its Wool- and cloth industry one of the richest cities of Asia
Minor. The remnants of a stadium, of Bath and of water,
aqueduct remind at that times. Colossae is because of the
Colossae letters a concept. Here are no magnificent remnants
to visit, but for that we can observe how it lives itself in a
village far remote by our civilisation.

4.Day: PAMUKKALE - KUSADASI
The current stretch leads us through remote villages, through
an untouched nature and change empires landscape over Tavas
after Aphrodisias. Here in Aphrodisias, it becomes a little
dusty: they experience how straight an antique city can be
make archaeological works. The discovery is so fresh that at
many places to take pictures are forbidden. Then drive to
Kusadasi. |

6.Day: KUSADASI - IZMIR
The morning is free. In the afternoon drive to Izmir. |

7.Day: IZMIR - BERGAMA -
AKHISAR - IZMIR
On the program of today the last stand two of the seven
apocalypse communities: Pergamon and Thyatira. In the morning
we drive to Bergama, a friendly and nice province village. An
area, where antique and present on pretty manner located in
harmony. We will visit the Acropolis with details, which is
located 330 m over the city, the Trajan Temple, Zeus Altar,
Athena Temple, the Library and the Theater. Then visit of the
Asklepion, an antique well-being site at that in the 2nd
Century AD. Galenus caused, after Hippokrate the important
physician of the antiquity. After a walk through the lanes of
Bergama, we leave this pretty city and come later over
Akhisar, the antique Thyatira, back to Izmir.

8.Day: RUCKFLUG
Transfer to the airport of Izmir for the return flight.
