Round Trips 4: In The Footsteps
Of Alexander The Great 9 Days-8 Nights
DAY 1: HOME - ISTANBUL
Welcome and assist through our English speaking tour guide.
All of the ladies will have fresh flowers and the gentlemen
will have souvenir as a present by Olbia Tours & Incentives.
Transfer to the hotel an check-in. During the key distribution
“a welcome cocktail” will be served. Time for rest. Dinner and
overnight will be at hotel.
DAY 2: ISTANBUL
After the breakfast full day city tour of Istanbul. Drive to
the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), which is famous with
its 6 minarets and blue tiles. Then visit to the St. Sophia,
the lovely building of Byzantine architecture. After that it
goes to the Hippodrome - place with the Theodosius-Obelisk and
the Serpentine Column. In the afternoon visit to the Topkapi
Palace (Treasury and Harem Sections are not included!). Visit
to one of the typical palace-units out of early Ottoman time.
Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.
DAY 3: ISTANBUL
After a short visit to the famous Egyptian Spice Market Bazaar
embark on a Cruise along the Bosporus. Disembark at Sariyer
and have lunch then drive to the Asian Part of Istanbul. Visit
to Yeditepe Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Also visit
to Beylerbeyi Palace the summer resident of the Ottoman
Sultans. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.
DAY 4: ISTANBUL - BURSA
After the breakfast visit the Grand Bazaar. Then drive along
through the Anatolian landscapes to Bursa, with its many
buildings out of the early Ottoman times. In Bursa the tour
visits to the Ulu Mosque, Green Mosque, Green Mausoleum and
the Silk Bazaar. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel in
Bursa.
DAY 5: BURSA - TROY - AYVALIK
After the breakfast drive through the Asiatic part of the
Dardanelles to Canakkale. In the afternoon visit to Troy, one
of the best known archaeological sites of the world. Continue
drive to the overnight stay hotel in the area of Ayvalik.
DAY 6: AYVALIK - PERGAMON - IZMIR - EPHESUS - KUSADASI
After the breakfast drive to the antique city Pergamon, the
former capital of the province Asia with the Athena-Temple,
Altar of Zeus, Trajan Temple, the King Palaces and the
theatre. Drive via Izmir (Panorama drive included.) to Selcuk.
In the afternoon visit to the Ephesus, the largest antique
metropolises of the Asia Minor. Visit to the Odeon, the
Hadrian Temple, the Celcus Library, the Great Theatre as well
as the House of Virgin Mary. Continue drive to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.
DAY 7: KUSADASI - PAMUKKALE
After the breakfast departure to Aphrodisias. This place had
been confessed in the antiquity for its fertility cult and its
famous schools for physicians, philosopher and sculptor. Visit
to the Roman city with the stadium, the theatre and the city
hall. Continue drive to Pamukkale. Visit of the antique city
Hierapolis with the ruins of the large bath, the necropolis,
the basilica and the theatre. The famous calcified terraces of
Hierapolis (Pamukkale), belong to the most interesting
landscape pictures in Turkey. They developed from in the
course of the millenniums through the hot water with calcium
and carbonated thermal sources and subsequent cooling. Dinner
and overnight will be at hotel in Pamukkale.
DAY 8: PAMUKKALE - ANTALYA
After the breakfast drive through the beautiful landscapes of
the Taurus Mountains to Antalya. At this day, the opportunity
exists to become acquainted with the oldest tradition of
Turkish carpet weaving art. Dinner and overnight will be at
hotel in Antalya.
DAY 9: ANTALYA - HOME
After the breakfast transfer to the airport of Antalya and
return flight.
